Over 150 participating restaurants support Open Hand

Thanks again for dining out with your clients, friends, family and co-workers for breakfast, lunch and/or dinner at our participating restaurants on Wednesday, April 22nd. And a special thank you to our restaurants, who will donate 20% of your bill to Open Hand. Dining Out for Life ‘09 to benefit Open Hand.  Our largest annual fundraiser, DOFL helps Open Hand continue to provide freshly prepared, home-delivered meals, nutrition education, counseling and therapy to homebound seniors and individuals who are struggling with chronic, critical or terminal disease in 17 Georgia counties.

Souper Jenny's once again plans to donate 100% of DOFL sales!

Souper Jenny, the cozy Buckhead soup and sandwich shop with a huge following, has once again taken on DOFL restaurants large and small by pledging to contribute 100% of sales on April 22, 2009 to Open Hand!  Last year, Souper Jenny contributed $3,600.00 to support Open Hand community nutrition programs -- more than any other participating restaurant!

What possesses a restaurant to give so much -- especially when times are tough? To engaging chef and owner, Jenny Levison, it's certainly not about publicity or recognition. She's already appeared on the NBC Today Show, has a new cookbook flying off the shelves, and a line out the door of her cafe at 56 East Andrews Avenue.
