Dining Out for Life 2012 to Benefit Open Hand Wednesday, April 25, 2012!
The 20th Annual Dining Out for Life event to benefit Open Hand will be held Wednesday, April 25, 2012!
Dining Out for Life (DOFL) is one of Open Hand's largest annual fundraising events, when thousands of people from all over the metro Atlanta area will choose their favorite participating restaurant and dine out for breakfast, lunch and/or dinner, knowing that 20% or more of their bill will be donated by the restaurant to benefit the community nutrition programs of Open Hand.
Your support and participation helps ensure that Open Hand can continue to deliver over 5,500 nutritious meals every day, provide nutrition education, therapy and coaching, and empower our neighbors battling chronic disease and disability to live healthier, independent lives.
This past December, Open Hand -- with the help of Atlanta Mayor Kasim Reed, delivered our 20 millionth meal since our founding in 1988. “Celebrating the delivery of Open Hand’s 20 millionth meal is a remarkable milestone made possible by volunteers, community partners and donors who have supported us since our early days in Atlanta,” said Jacqueline Yeaney, co-president of the Open Hand Board of Directors. That certainly includes our DOFL restaurants and the thousands of people like you that participate in this event, unified in your desire to make a difference in our community.

We'd like to thank our 2011 DOFL restaurants and look forward to having you onboard for 2012!
If you didn't automatically renew last year, simply complete the restaurant registration form and you'll be good to go! Remember, the earlier you register, the more time we'll have to work with you to promote your participation and ensure a successful event.

With over 100 restaurants participating in Dining Out for Life, we need a lot of help to support our efforts to drive traffic to each of them on the day of the event.
So if you think you'd be able to invite your friends, family and co-workers to dine with you at one of our participating restaurants on April 25th, register to become a DOFL Ambassador!
It's a lot of fun, and you'll not only get an opportunity to show the community that you support Open Hand, but you'll also get a chance to work with one of Atlanta's many wonderful restaurants who so graciously make this event possible.
